Come and spend the day with a group of women, creating with nature, in a peaceful country setting.
This workshop will begin with a morning spent with Sian from Little Forest Feet, exploring the garden and foraging for plants to make beautiful eco print patterns on cotton. The fabric will be mordanted so the prints will be everlasting. You will learn some tips and tricks about which plants make good prints and some methods to achieve a good print. You will get to take home a few plants to start your own backyard eco printing garden.
The middle part of the day will be spent enjoying a nourishing meal, enjoying the view and some time for a grounding sit spot meditation in nature (weather permitting).
The afternoon will be spent on the balcony, sewing, with my guidance, your own patchwork project bag using some of your eco printed fabric. Some basic sewing experience is helpful but not essential and beginners are most welcome.
Indulge in a day for yourself, refresh your mind and tap into your creative energy.
When: Sunday 9th March, 10am - 3.30pm
Where: Aongatete, Bay of Plenty.
Cost: $125
All materials, lunch, snacks and tea/coffee included.
