Hi, I’m Sharn. I am the hands behind Make + Mend.
I have been working in the field of sustainable fashion for many years, as a designer, business owner, pattern maker and seamstress. In 2021, my family and I made the move from Auckland to the sleepy Bay of Plenty village of Athenree. From here in my home studio I am now sharing my knowledge of sustainable fashion through the art of repair and teaching those who want to learn the craft of sewing.

In this workshop, kids will be sewing a unique-shaped cushion which they will be able to take home and add to their bedroom. We will start with covering the basics of using a sewing machine then dive into creating.
Exciting news for teens this year, Im moving my home private lessons into a workshop format, running them in 5 week blocks from Ranger Studios, Waihi Beach.
